Buy the Sharlett Dress sewing pattern from Madalynne. Sharlett is a fun and whimsical yet elegant mini to knee length dress that has six godets for the ultimate flared hem. The bodice features bust darts to create minimal shaping. The neckline and armhole edges are finished with fold over elastic. There is no closure.

Suggested fabrics and fabric requirements:Ā
MAIN FABRIC: 1.5 yd (1.4 m) lycra, stretch velvet, stretch all over lace, knit, jersey. Main fabric should have 8-20% spandex and be 60" wide. If fabric is narrower, you will need an additional 0.5-1 yd.
COMBO FABRIC: 4 yd (3.7 m) voile, crepe, china silk, or very lightweight fabric. Combo fabric can be stretch or non stretch, but it mustĀ be very lightweight with a lot of drape for the godets to hang nicely.
Sizing:Ā XS ā 5X (approx. UK 6 ā 32, based on ourĀ standardised size chart). Please also check the designer's size chart.
Notions:Ā 2-3 yd of fold over elastic, 3/8"-3/4" wide // Optional: 28 mm rotary cutter; spray adhesive.
